The Toughest ACC Games on the Virginia Tech Football Schedule

The Virginia Tech football team had a heartbreaking opening season loss to Boise State, and going into the season that game got tons of natural attention both from Virginia Tech fans and college football fans in general. Big out of conference games tend to be hyped since they are rare and unusual, and good ones are fun to watch. However now that the game has come and gone, VT needs to focus on the important part of their schedule, the ACC portion. Given the losses they have already endured, the national championship is obviously not a goal for the team. However their primary goal for any season is still a relative possibility, and that is winning the ACC championship. The fact that the ACC has looked so pedestrian this year only increases the importance of these games and makes an ACC championship even more attainable. So which games will be the biggest ACC contests for VT in 2010? There are many - you could almost argue 'all of them' in that given how the Hokies h...

Money Mindsets - The Rich, The Poor & The Lost!

Once while I was attending a motivational talk session on wealth creation, the keynote speaker made a bold pronouncement by saying that; 'money is a defense, and therefore, the lack of it is an offence.' Suddenly the entire atmosphere was arrested by a cacophony of noise as a section of the audience who agreed with the speaker's statement applauded loudly and nodded encouragingly at him, while another section showed their disapproval with a disgruntled uproar. With this, the house became divided and turned into an unnecessary debate that went on for several minutes until the speaker was compelled to rephrase his statement in order to save time. Make of this story what you will, but on that very day I came to a logical conclusion that there are three different mindsets which basically determines how human beings perceive money, and arguably, they can be characterized as Rich-Minds, Poor-Minds, and Lost-Minds.  http://www.automatedmoneynow.com Rich-Minds are selfless...

How to Save for a Down Payment for Your First Home

Trying to save for your first home can seem like a huge task, especially if it feels like you have no extra money to save. But, there are a few things you can do to start saving. 1. Determine how much you want to save and set goals. First, set goals for how much money you want to save. Once you have decided on an amount, set a goal for when you want to have that amount saved. Then you can find out how much you need to save each week, month, etc. For example, if you want to save $5,000 in one year, that is $13.70 per day or $96.15 per week. Aim for that amount each time and start asking yourself what you can do to make that goal. Set smaller goals along the way to track your progress and maybe set up a visual table of how much you have saved so far. Motivation is very powerful, so use it to your advantage!  http://www.savingslaunch.com 2. Create a budget. If you have never done this before, you'll be amazed at how much having a budget will help you save. First, make a l...
